Chat with the CCPO 27th October 2008
To all those who are Sharks rugby fans I'm sure you all had a wonderful weekend watching them win the Currie Cup. I was lucky enough to be there!!!!
Our financials are in the process of being finalised which allows me to advise all members of the CCPO that we shall be having our AGM on the 11th of November 08 in the Supper Room at the Civic Centre at 6pm. All members welcome.
A reminder that this is a COMMUNITY organisation and your R114.00 alone does not come anywhere near covering the costs of even one guard and all the support that we as the CCPO offer along with Blue Security. It takes all of our contributions to keep our CCPO set up running, and continuing to move the guards around our community as they are required. Your contribution does not mean you will have a guard in your street constantly, but rather that when crime dictates we shall be able to move a guard and support into the required area.
To the majority of our member's, thank you, for your regular payments, and a reminder to those who pay me via any other means other than the monthly debit order. Please remember that we have to pay Vat, and if you have not increased your payment by the 14% required to cover VAT, it stands to reason that although we may have more members joining we have not increased our funds as CCPO has to pay VAT regardless as to whether you have added it to your contribution or not. So if you are paying R100 per month please add R14 to cover the Vat. The total being R114.00 and for a flat or complex it is R57.00 the vat being R7.00. thank you in anticipation of your compliance.
We have not had any offers regarding the First Aid kits so we will probably have to purchase them for the Operations Team. If anyone has a connection here let us know.
Please add the CCPO link to your existing Websites, and let us advertise the CCPO and their good work.
Thanks from Members
- Firstly let me thank you all for just being there for us, we have had reasons to call you for help the last 2 early mornings and the speed with which you have arrived at our home is amazing, a HUGE BIG THANKS from the McMillan family !!!!!
- I would like to say how impressed I was with the speedy action taken by this group. We contacted the CCPO early hours Sunday morning about a person ambling around our complex looking into windows and such. Not even 5 min later 2 of your guy's arrived and tried to apprehend the suspect who was climbing through a toilet window of one of the units. Unfortunately in the scuffle the suspect bit the two guys very badly and got away, minus his pants which were pulled off in the fighting.I really commend the CCPO firstly for the speedy response and secondly for putting themselves in danger for us, regardless if we ,that means the whole complex pays the small fee of R 50.00 or not.
Well done and you have our full support. Thanks also to the SAP for their response.
Regards
Janet Potgieter
Thank you to the Sun Newspaper and all those businesses on board who advertised in the CCPO spread, on September 19th. It resulted in the CCPO receiving a financial donation from the South Coast Sun Newspaper.
Request
We have had a request from Pastor Charles Naidu of The House of New Beginnings a Multi-faceted Ministry based in the heart of Shallcross, Kwa-Zulu Natal, whose primary purpose is to save the lost, train, equip and empower impoverished communities. They are hosting a banquet, where children from mainly underprivileged homes will participate in mini debs and those who have excelled in the competition will be rewarded for their extra efforts. We approach you for assistance in supporting the Church with an incentive/monetary gift for the most outstanding recipient at the banquet on the 8th November 2008. If any one is interested in assisting them please contact Pastor Naidu on 084 5565089.
Regards
Tracy
