How did the CCPO initiative start?

The CCPO initiative came about after a group of Amanzimtoti residents got together to discuss the high levels of crime taking place in the Amanzimtoti area.

Instead of an idle 'arm chair' session where solutions to crime are mentioned but not acted upon, the group decided that a proactive approach to combating crime was needed.

“The CCPO has been formed for the community and by the community as
a body through which the people can be heard and take action”

Judging by the incredible response so far, it is evident that the residents and businesses of Amanzimtoti have adopted an ‘Actions speak louder than word's’ stance in their fight against crime.
